Internships at Genworth

About our program

Genworth has been committed to providing internship and career launching opportunities for undergraduate university students in our community since 2012. Our formal internship program has seen interns work across all parts of our business which allows interns to be involved in meaningful work that adds value.

Each university semester, Genworth on-boards a number of interns, providing them with exposure to our business and experience relevant to their area of study. Our interns also partake in:

  • An intern onboarding session - during this session interns meet one another, learn about the intern program and are assigned a buddy from the business;
  • Department rotations - interns have the opportunity to spend time in each department, learning from the leaders of the department about the priorities and focus areas and what their day-to-day roles entail;
  • Intern lunch and learn sessions - during these sessions, interns learn about topics relevant to them (e.g. presentation skills, recruitment tips and tricks) whilst enjoying a lunch with their fellow interns;
  • Presentation to the Senior Leadership Team - our interns present to our Senior Leadership Team, their managers and peers on their experience as an intern at Genworth and how this has influenced the direction of their career.

Interns are also supported by their manager and the Intern Program Coordinator.
